I’ve never met a clean river, stream, lake, or oversized sporting-good store aquarium display that I didn’t have the urge to swim in. I’ve also never seen a mountain in the distance and not heard its seductive siren call of come and climb me.

I’m no adrenaline junky. I have no list of sphincter-clentchingly high precipices that I plan to throw myself from before I die, and my wife frequently bemoans my geriatric driving habits.

No, I’m no madman, but I do love a good adventure.

So, when the opportunity to join Marty Miller of Blueprint for Men, a ministry devoted to helping men navigate the choppy waters of manhood, on a trip up Mt. Rainier arose—accepting was a foregone conclusion.
